김연미 교수님께서 지난 여름 인도네시아에서 열렸던 Annual Meeting of the Association of Asian Studies in Asia 국제학술대회의 <Object Journeys: The Evolving Narratives of Material Culture in Asia> 패널의 좌장으로 참여하셨으며, 

"The Journey of Buddhist Talismans from Medieval Dunhuang to Chosŏn Korea"라는 제목으로 학술발표를 진행하셨습니다.

또한 보도부두르 유적 보존센터의 협조를 얻어 영미권 학자들을 모아서 보도부두르 학술 방문을 진행하셨습니다.
